Living & Working Together - Half a Century on DHARMANANDA by Jen Ireland

Dharmananda is an intentional community at The Channon in Northern NSW, celebrating 50 years in November 2022.

This seems a perfect time to reminisce, record and share our moments of success, challenge and fun times. Throughout the book numerous stories more fully describe people's experiences and perspectives of living on the community, from early life through to the present day.

The compilation of facts, stories and photos grew as the book evolved. There have been some very colourful times on the community, some very enjoyable sharing and learning experiences, the expected challenges and a lot of dedication and hard work. This commitment is ongoing and is reflected in the wide range of food production, internal infrastructure systems, Council-approved homes, the condition of pastures and animals, ongoing bush regeneration and the quality of communication and support.

We invite you to enjoy reading about Dharmananda and how the dreaming of two people became the rich community life we still enjoy today.
